Fossicking for Gem Stones and Sapphire
Once you have been riding the camels around the pyramids of Little Egypt in Yeppoon, you can try your luck and enjoy fossicking for gem stones and sapphires.
The sapphire bearing wash at The Big Camel Tourist Park has been brought in from the Central Queensland Gemfields off the Richardson brothers mine in from the sapphire and gem stone capital of Australia; The Central Highlands. John Richardson not only has a passion for camels he has been successful in gem mining in the gem fields where he grew up.

Adults - $50
Children 12 years and under - $25.
We take bookings up to 7:30pm the night before.
We have to warn the camels you're coming so please be sure to book your time traveling camel riding adventure.
